Volunteer Opportunities

We rely on dedicated volunteers to make our annual toy drive and holiday celebration a success. Explore our current roles below:

  • Deliver and Pick Up Toy Donation Boxes: Deliver and pick up donation toy boxes at designated sites throughout Clay, Duval, St. Johns, and Nassau Counties.
  • Toy Sorter: Unpack, sort, and organize donated toys at our designated storage unit in Jacksonville.
  • Wrapping Toys: Wrap and label gifts for the holiday party at our designated location.
  • Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser: Set up a personal fundraising page, share our mission with your personal network, and collect donations on behalf of the organization.
  • Soliciting Donors: Solicit participating sites to host a toy drive and secure donated funds.
  • Grant Writer and Researcher: Research upcoming funding opportunities and help draft compelling grant proposals for the organization (ideal for retirees or experienced writers).

Financial Support and Supplies

Your financial gifts and supply donations provide the essential operational resources needed to keep our mission running smoothly.

  • Donation boxes: Each collection box costs around $15 to manufacture. Our goal this year is to have 100 boxes deployed around the community.
  • Storage Rental: Our living rooms have just gotten too small. We can no longer store all the donations at our houses. It will cost us about $1,200 to rent out storage units for the season.
  • General Donations: Funds operating expenses, gift cards, and essential supplies.
  • Supply Donations: We always welcome donations of gift wrap, packing tape, labels, and boxes.

How Businesses Can Help

Local businesses play a vital role in our annual toy drive. Partnering with us is a great way to engage your employees and customers while supporting local foster youth.

  • Host a Collection Site: Place a toy collection box at your office, storefront, or facility during our campaign window (November 2 – December 10). We provide the boxes and promotional flyers, and we handle all pickups at the end of the drive.
  • Post a Flyer: If having a collection box is not a good option, you can still post a flyer at your business.
  • Promote Our Toy Drive Online: If your business is fully remote or doesn't receive foot traffic, you can still participate! Help us spread the word by sharing our online toy wishlist and donation link in your employee newsletters, email signatures, or company social media channels.
  • Financial Donation: Make a corporate contribution toward our operating expenses.
  • Employee Engagement: Encourage your team to organize a peer-to-peer fundraiser, donate new toys, or volunteer as a group.
